After playing it, I couldn’t figure out why everyone is so amazed by TERA. It’s the same damn game we’ve been playing for years, and while I wasn’t exactly bored playing it, I also set it aside without a second thought. It’s not that I dislike theme park MMOs. Sometimes it’s what I’m in the mood for. I just don’t think any of them so far are some sort of second coming.

I don’t know about TERA online – there’s such an immense amount of original games being released soon that I can’t bear the thought of paying a sub for a game that doesn’t really innovate. I like the idea of Mortal Online though and I’m probably going to resub very soon. Wurm Online certainly looks nice too but it doesn’t load on my machine.

I know, it’s just that feeling of exploration in Bethesda’s RPGs that makes me want more, I want to get lost in them for hours at a time. i love the first-person RPG perspective and everything about a Bethesda RPG. I like new ones, but they take years to make, because they are high quality.

I am thinking about purchasing Arx Fatalis, an RPG from almost 10 years ago, so it is only $5, but it looks good, kind of Bethesda-esque. I would kill for a dark fantasy/gothic horror RPG along the lines of the Elder Scrolls games.

That is what I am envisioning in my new short story I am writing. If you want, I’ll send you a copy when I am done? You may enjoy it, but I’m not a very great writer. Right now it is 15 pages long, but I am plenty more to write. I am planning on becoming self-published on Kindle, and possibly the Nook store.
